Frequently Asked Questions

Does tattoo removal cause scarring?

Honestly? Yes it can but the risk is around 3% risk. There are several factors that affect whether or not you're likely to scar. If you're prone to scarring (such as hypertrophic or keloid scarring) this can increase your risk and you will need to ensure you take extra precautions post treatment to ensure the risk is kept to a minimum. The other major factor is aftercare, we promote cooling the skin tissue and using appropriate aftercare (which we provide) to ensure the skin is cooled, moisturised and protected.

How frequent can you have tattoo removal treatments?

Every 4 to 6 weeks at a minimum. We recommend sticking to 6 weekly appointments but if you're in a removal rush then we can reduce this to 4 weeks provided you appropriately take care of your tattoo.

How is SHR and IPL different?

SHR (Super Hair Removal) only uses low fluence light during the service. Clients will feel at max, a sense of warmness. IPL, however, uses high fluence light, that may cause burns (especially on dark skin tone) and pain. In terms of effectiveness, SHR releases 20-30 shots per second, while IPL only release 1 shot per second. Most SHR clients will see results by the second session. Also, SHR used motion technology which will cut down treatment time but yet maintaining its optimal efficiency compared to IPL.

Who is not ideally suited for fat freezing?

Patients with cold-related conditions, like cryoglobulinemia, cold urticaris and paroxysmal cold hemoglobulinuria should not have cryolipolysis. Patients with loose skin or poor tone may not be suitable candidates for the procedure.

Are there any risks associated with fat freezing?

The complication rate is low and the satisfaction rate is high. There is a risk of surface irregularities and asymmetry. Patients may not get the result they'd hoped for. Rarely, in less than 1 percent, patients may have paradoxical fat hyperplasia, which is an unexpected increase in the number of fat cells. This is three times more likely in men than in women and is seen more in those of Hispanic or Latino descent.Do you accept card payments as well as cash?
